LORENA MARTINS
Lorena Martins was born in the city of Mariana. She graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 2014.
She met Jesus in 1998, Her thirst for Jesus was remarkable! As a teenager, she grew up wanting to announce the Lord to her family and friends. In the same year of her conversion, she was baptized with the Holy Spirit, and on the 13th August 1998, she was baptized by water.
Coincidentally, Sister Lorena and her husband – Brother Max Martins, were baptized on the same day! She met her husband at church, and they became good friends.
They got married in 2006, and blessed with two children, Luisa and Tito. She and her husband work together in their digital marketing and social media company.
Lorena enjoys taking care of people, a gifting she discovered even before her relationship with God became stronger as it is today.
Through a series of divine leading and connections, she and husband began learning more about Jesus through Pastors Eliane and Leonard Hitimana. These life transforming bible teachings became the bedrock of the teachings they shared with their Cell group at their former Church, grounding them further in the word. Her calling to lead a church was crystallised during that season of bible studies.
In November 2020, New Wine Cell group Brazil was born!! As Lorena shared the gospel with friends, the transformation taking place was evident. Each online meeting grew larger as more invited people began listening and understanding the message of grace.
Sister Lorena and her family believe that God will do infinitely more than all that we ask or think. In May 2022 they are celebrating the launching of New Wine Church Mariana, Brazil, and they only have reasons to be grateful.
They will not stop; they will move forward, and the Kingdom of God will grow!
